An observational study by Deakin University supported by Medigrowth Australia and Azure Health is recruiting now.

Evaluating Medigrowth patient outcomes and mental wellbeing in the real world (EMPOWER Project)

Deakin University and Medigrowth Australia are partnering to empower evidence-based care. Study participants will be recruited through Azure Health, a research-focused clinic platform. This study will track participants who are using the study medicines for any chronic medical condition over a 12-month period. It aims to understand how the study medicines are being used in clinical practice and how they impact health outcomes.

Why participate?

EMPOWER participants will:

  1. Contribute to advancing research from home
  2. Receive a $25 Prezzee voucher after completion of each questionnaire (up to 6 x $25 vouchers in total) to compensate for your time commitment
  3. Have a tree planted with Evertreen if they complete the study
  4. Be able to self-withdraw from the study at any time.

What’s involved?

Participants will have been prescribed study medicines under the routine care of an Azure Health clinician. Participants will be asked to complete questionnaires from the comfort of their own home:

  1. Before starting treatment (baseline)
  2. 1 month after the study ends (study completion).

Each questionnaire is expected to take around 15 minutes to complete.

The study should take no more than 2 hours of your time over a 13-month period.

Who can participate?

This study will collect information from participants aged 18 years and over, as well as parents/guardians of people aged 5-17 years. You can take part in this study if:

  1. You or your child have been assessed by an Azure Health clinician, and in the professional opinion of the treating clinician, are suitable for treatment with the study medicines
  2. You can read and understand English, and
  3. You can provide informed consent.

Interested in participating?

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary. Study information will be available in the Azure Patient Portal after prospective participants have consulted with an Azure Health clinician and deemed suitable for treatment with the study medicines.
